Flex Seminars Coming up!

Hope to have you attend one of the upcoming one-hour Flex sessions introducing, the great new synchronous collaboration tool and virtual classroom now available to SDCCD faculty and staff!  The access information will be the same for both sessions, so pick either one you like (or both :).  The first session (District Flex #81320) will take place today, Thursday April 16, from 2 – 3 pm.  The second, more or less identical, session (District Flex #81321) will be offered on Friday April 24 from 10 – 11 am.  The sessions will be open at least 30 minutes before scheduled start.

To access the session just click or tap the following URL: .  On a computer, you will be asked to download and install a small client app.  It’s safe to do so.  When you connect, you are given the opportunity to test your computer’s microphone and speakers if you like.  We have a tutorial showing this process in detail at On a mobile device (smartphone or tablet; Android or IOS), you’ll need the free Zoom app which is available from the Apple App Store or Google Play.  The session should open automatically on your mobile device.  You do not have to have a Zoom account to attend these sessions.  However, you can get one free, if you like, and use it as much as you like.

I’d recommend joining the session at least 15 minutes early, if you can, to allow us time to help you if you have any problems.  Just email us at for assistance.  If you’d like to test your ability to connect in advance, you can click the Zoom session link above to join a test session with my alter-ego Al.  Al doesn’t say much, but he’s a handsome devil :)  This test session will be available until 1 PM today (4/16) and from 8:30 – 9:30 am on 4/24.  Looking forward to seeing you; please connect your webcam before joining, if you have one and are using your computer to connect!
