This book is available at the bookstore and online book stores, where you may be able to find it as a used book. We use this text extensively throughout the course, including for all Unit Tests. The textbook is mandatory.

The reader is also available at the bookstore and online book stores. It is also on reserve at the Miramar College library where you may check it out and read it on the premises. We read and respond to essays in this book for homework. This book is also mandatory.

Course Description

 

COURSE SUMMARY

This course is a survey of human evolution, variation and adaptation. Emphasis is placed on the study of primates, human heredity, variability of modern populations and fossil records of early hominins and hominines. This course is the basis for advanced courses in Life and/or Behavioral Sciences or students majoring in Anthropology.

  2. Receive registration appointment and instructions by email or mail.
  3. Register online at the Reg-e, our online registration system
  4. Make sure that you pay your tuition so that you don't lose your registration!

  5. Order textbooks online. Visit our online bookstore.

6.  After completion of registration on Reg-e, and several days prior to the start of the semester, you will receive an email with course login instructions. If you don't receive an email please go to http://www.sdccdonline.net and login on the first day of class as follows:

Type your WebCT ID = 7-digit College Student Identification (CSID) number
Type your Password =  mmddyyyy (birthdate with no hyphens, slashes, or spaces)
For example:  1010101 (CSID number used at registration)
