Course Description |

|
This course is an online tax class
that covers the tax concepts that affect most individuals. At the completion of this course, each
student should be able to prepare a 1040EZ, 1040A, and 1040 tax form. Students will recognize the social,
economic, and political factors that Congress considers when they create tax
law. It is important to know what
taxes are applicable and why tax legislation is enacted. In addition, students will be able to utilize tax planning skills for preparing future tax returns. This is a vital skill for tax payers who will be in the upper income brackets, will operate small businesses, and for individuals who will own their own homes. The student will know the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion and be able to prepare the most beneficial tax returns using Turbo Tax software. |
