Course Description |
|||
|
This course is designed for students interested in learning a business software suite. This course covers the Microsoft Office Professional suite, which is an integrated collection of software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentations) that share data and work in a similar and consistent manner. This course will also provide instruction on how to seamlessly integrate data within and between the programs in an efficient manner. |

Course Objectives |

|
Upon successful completion
of the course, the student will be able to: 1.
Create, save,
edit, format, retrieve, and print documents in each of the software
application packages (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). 2.
Construct
tables and web pages in Word. 3.
Insert and
modify headers and footers, graphics, and hyperlinks in Word documents. 4.
Perform
calculations in spreadsheets through the use of formulas and functions in
Excel. 5.
Link related
Excel worksheets using 3-D references. 6.
Create charts
and web pages based on worksheets developed in Excel. 7.
Modify
existing databases in Access. 8.
Create tables,
forms, reports, and web pages based on existing databases in Access. 9.
Extract
records from Access databases using queries and criteria statements and
perform calculations in a query. 10. Add transitions, sounds, builds, and graphics to
PowerPoint presentations. 11. Modify existing PowerPoint presentations. 12. Publish a PowerPoint presentation to the Web. 13. Integrate Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint documents to accomplish tasks in the most efficient manner. |

1. Complete Online Application (for new SDCCD students). Go to Student Web Services 2. Receive registration appointment and instructions by email or mail. 3. Register online at the Reg-e, our online registration system 4.
Make sure that you
pay your tuition so that you don't lose your registration! 5. Order textbooks online. Visit our online bookstore. 6. After completion of
registration on Reg-e, and several days prior to the start of the semester,
you will receive an email with course login instructions. If you don't
receive an email please go to http://www.sdccdonline.net and login on the first day of class as follows: 7. If this course is closed, please login to Reg-e to be placed on a waitlist. If the waitlist is full, you will not be able to add your name to the waitlist. You will not be able to login to your
online course until the first day of the semester!!! |
