Course Description
|
|
|
|
One unit course overviews health related issues and
problems in the kindergarten through 12th grade. The San Diego County Health Needs
Assessment, Healthy People 2010 and the National Education Standards for
Health are reviewed and students apply this knowledge to their professional
experiences. This course is designed
for working professionals and students have access to all course information
so assignments can be completed to accommodate schedules. This course satisfies the State of California Health Education
requirement for the K-12 Teaching Credential, Transfer Credit: CSU with the exception of the CPR
requirement. The CPR requirement will
need to be completed separately through other courses such as the American
Red Cross, YMCA or www.cprpros.com.
