Course Description

 

This course is designed to assist students in the understanding of human behavior in social institutions,

business and industry. Areas for discussion include:

**please note this course is based on the concepts of Business Opportunity  Learning Projects (BOLP) and Outcome Education. In addition to learning the traditional concepts of Human Relations In Business each student will be given the opportunity to demonstrate his/her knowledge by taking part in a number of instructor and student generated projects.

 

Course Objectives

 

  1. Examine the meaning of organizational behavior.
  2. Identify the contributions made to organizational behavior by major behavioral science disciplines
  3. Describe how organizational behavior concepts can help make organizations more productive.
  4. Identify the three levels of analysis in organizational behavior
  5. Examine the impact of organizational behavior on leadership, management, motivation and decision-making.
  6. Analyze the human relations impact on organizational change and power/politics.
  7.  List the strengths and weaknesses of group decision making.
  8. Identify and describe the different leadership styles.

ALL Students NOTE that Intersession is SHORT and FAST.

Every week there will be a minimum of (2) two assignments due.

Therefore it is imperative that you keep up with each assignment.

  2. Receive registration appointment and instructions by email or mail.
  3. Register online at the Reg-e, our online registration system
  4. Make sure that you pay your tuition so that you don't lose your registration!

  5. Order textbooks online. Visit our online bookstore.

6.  After completion of registration on Reg-e, and several days prior to the start of the semester, you will receive an email with course login instructions. If you don't receive an email please go to http://www.sdccdonline.net and login on the first day of class as follows:

Type your Password =  mmddyyyy (birthdate with no hyphens, slashes, or spaces)
