This course is designed
to assist students in the understanding of human behavior in social
institutions, business and industry. Areas for discussion include:

u Organizational Change u Personnel / Human Resources Problems

note this course is based on the concepts of Business
Opportunity Learning
Projects (BOLP) and Outcome Education. In
addition to learning the traditional concepts of Human Relations In Business each student will be given
the opportunity to demonstrate his/her knowledge by taking part in a number
of instructor and student generated projects. These activities may be on or
off campus. The final product for this class will be a Human Relations In Business Portfolio.

- Examine the meaning of
organizational behavior.
- Identify the contributions
made to organizational behavior by major behavioral science
disciplines
- Describe how organizational
behavior concepts can help make organizations more productive.
- Identify the three levels of
analysis in organizational behavior
- Examine the impact of
organizational behavior on leadership, management, motivation and
decision-making.
- Analyze the human relations
impact on organizational change and power/politics.
- List the strengths and weaknesses of
group decision making.
- Identify and describe the
different leadership styles.

students). Go to Student Web Services
- Receive registration appointment and
instructions by email or mail.
- Register online at the Reg-e, our online registration system
- Make sure that you pay your tuition so that
you don't lose your registration!

6. After completion of registration on Reg-e, and several days prior to the start
of the semester, you will receive an email with course login instructions.
If you don't receive an email please go to http://www.sdccdonline.net and login on the first day of class
as follows:

Type your Password = mmddyyyy (birthdate with no hyphens,
slashes, or spaces)
For example: 1010101 (CSID number used at registration)

- If the waitlist is full,
you will not be able to add your name to the waitlist.
You will not be able
to login to your online course until the first day of the semester!!!
You must login to your online course on the first day of the session to
avoid your enrollment being dropped. Follow the login instructions at

After registration is
over, students that are on the Wait List for BUSE 150 must contact lbrady@sdccd.edu by email the first day of the
class if they
would like to request an add code. Add codes will not be given out before
the first day of classes. Only a limited number of add codes may be given. If
a student is added they are responsible for purchasing their textbook the
first day of classes and meeting all the due dates.

Information

Students must log into their course
through WebCT Vista within the first two days of the session or they may be
dropped.

Students must carefully read the
syllabus to make sure they are able to meet the course requirements. No
additional time will be given to complete this course.

Students must purchase their
textbook and begin studying the first day of classes.

This is not a self-paced course;
students must meet reading, homework, and test deadlines. There are no excused
absences.

Students are responsible for having
a reliable Internet connection; not having access to the Internet will not
be a reason for missing assignments or tests. Recall that City College’s
Independent Learning Center
has computers available to students to complete their online coursework.

Students must have basic computer
skills and should be familiar with WebCT Vista before they begin their
course. Go to SDCCD Online for more information about preparing for your
online course. I would suggest working through the tutorial before the
