REQUIRED TEXT, SOFTWARE &
SUPPLIES Practical Business
Math Procedures, by Jeffrey Slater, 9th Edition, Irwin-McGraw-Hill Publishers 2008 (W/Stu Dvd/Wsj/Bmathhdbk), Important: Do not purchase the 8th
edition. Do not purchase the Brief Edition. You must purchase the FULL
VERSION of the textbook which includes 22 chapters. This is a required textbook; you must purchase
your own copy to use in this course. You must purchase your textbook and
begin studying the first day of classes to stay on schedule and meet due
dates. Textbooks should be available in the San Diego City College Bookstore;
check bookstore hours. They are also available online through the bookstore;
check shipping dates so you do not miss any due dates. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase the
correct textbook. Students must turn in assignments and tests by the due
date. Not having a textbook may not be used as a reason for not completing
work on time. Calculator: Your
calculator does not need to be expensive. I would recommend a calculator that
is easy to enter numbers and read results. Required
Word Processing Software: Microsoft Word (This is included in
Microsoft Office). This is required in order to submit homework and
other assignments. Other word processing programs may not be used. I will not be able to open, accept
or grade homework from other software programs. Students who submit homework
in other programs will receive a “0” on their assignments. Assignments must
be submitted through the Assignment tool in WebCT. No assignments will be
accepted as attachments to emails. |
