FAQ from Instructors:
- Will my Turnitin Assignments get copied when I request a clone of this course shell?
- No, Turnitin Assignments cannot get copied from one course shell to another like regular Blackboard Vista assignments. They'll need to be created new in each course shell that they are used.
- Can I automatically convert my regular Blackboard Assignments to Turnitin Assignments?
- No. You'll need to create a new Turnitin Assignment
for each assignment that you plan to grade using Turnitin.
- Does the Turnitin Assignment link have to be an icon on my homepage?
- No, it can be an icon on any one of your Course Content pages. It doesn't have to be the homepage.
- Can I put the link to the Turnitin Assignment anywhere instead of the homepage?
- Yes, you can also add a link to the Turnitin Assignment inside of a Learning Module. It cannot be added to the Calendar or the Course Tools menu.
- Can I add an attachment to my Turnitin Assignment?
- Can I add instructions to my Turnitin Assignment?
- Yes, when creating a Turnitin Assignment, click the More Options button where you'll find a Special Instructions field.
- When I click on the Turnitin Assignment from Student View, it shows that my students see the same thing that I see from the Instructor tab. Why's that?
- The Student View tab does not accurately display what your actual students see when they click on an assignment. Actual student accounts will get a page where they can submit a file to the assignment.
- I use grading forms - can I continue to use my Vista grading forms with the Turnitin Assignment?
- No, to continue using the Vista grading form, your students would need to submit the file through the regular Assignment Inbox, not through Turnitin.
