Brief Description:
This presentation will cover the issues of copyright in distance education. It will provide an overview of copyright law and its legal exemptions for use in public education. Fair use, classroom exemptions, and the TEACH Act will be covered. The differences between what is granted for face to face instruction versus those rights provided by the TEACH Act will also be addressed. Online resources will be provided, along with some hands-on scenarios.
